Economic Impact Analysis
ECONorthwest’s 2012 economic analysis of the Morrow Pacific project found that the project will create more than 2,100 constructions jobs and more than 1,000 operations jobs. Regulatory Agencies

Multiple state and federal agencies are reviewing the Morrow Pacific project. Key permitting agencies are described below.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers evaluates the overall environmental impact of the project. Ambre Energy has applied for a permit for placement of pilings on the Columbia River.

Oregon Department of State Lands evaluates the impact on wetlands, waterways and grazing and forest land. Ambre Energy has applied for a removal fill permit for placement of pilings on the Columbia River.

Oregon Department of Environmental Quality evaluates the impact on air, land and water quality. Ambre Energy has applied for several permits, including an air contaminant discharge permit.
